Shawn Poiley is a Senior Business Advisor with M&A Business Advisors, bringing over 25 years of experience in strategy, business development, and marketing across corporate and entrepreneurial environments. He advises business owners on value drivers, exit readiness, and transaction strategy, with a focus on aligning financial outcomes with personal and operational goals.
Shawn’s career includes senior roles at Marvel Entertainment and The Walt Disney Studios. At Marvel, he negotiated and executed global partnerships and oversaw sales operations, creative development of pitch materials, and worldwide sales communications. At The Walt Disney Studios, he directed marketing strategy and campaign planning for tentpole film releases, managing up to $100MM per title.
More recently, Shawn supported Search Party Capital, a private-equity backed search fund focused on the power and energy sector, contributing to deal sourcing, valuation analysis, due diligence, and transaction structuring. As an entrepreneur, Shawn founded Myndi, a digital health SaaS platform leveraging conversational AI to support families managing neurodevelopmental disabilities. As a strategic advisor, he has guided startups in technology, media, and telecom (TMT) and healthcare in business development, operations, product, and growth strategy. Shawn is also a board member and Secretary of AI LA, a nonprofit focused on applied artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
Shawn holds an M.S. in Integrated Design, Business & Technology from Iovine & Young Academy at University of Southern California and an MBA and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida.
